Merlinite is a trade name given to Dendritic Opal, it is sometimes also applied to Dendritic Agate, also see Opal and Agate.

The Dendritic inclusions are of Psilomelane.

It is said to aid in remaining both open and approachable even if the situation reminds us of past experiences. Merlinte aids in deepening the connection to the environment, nature spirits and also fellow human beings.  It can be used to assist in spiritual growth and development and reminds us of the memories of wizards and alchemists.
