Cacoxenite
Cacoxenite is an iron aluminium phosphate mineral associated with iron ores. Its name, ironically, comes from Greek terms meaning “bad” or “evil” and “guest” because the phosphorus content of Cacoxenite lessened the quality of iron smelted from the ore containing it. It was first described in 1825 for its occurrence in the Hrbek Mines of Bohemia in the Czech Republic, though it is found in several locations around the world.
It is a rare mineral that enhances any mineral that it grows in. It manifests as beautiful inclusion within a host crystal, most commonly Quartz or Amethyst, forming as radiated tufts of yellow, gold or earthy brown.

This is a limestone matrix with andalusite crystals. It is also called Porphyry. The stone is found in the Yangtze River Valley of the Hunan Province of China, and also it is known to be found in the Auburn, California region of the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas. It strongly resembles the Chrysanthemum stone, another limestone matrix and andalusite crystal stone from China, but the crystals in that stone spray out into a chrysanthemum pattern – hence the name.
