Its name was derived from the Andes Mountains in
South America mainly due to the abundance found in the abundance in the Andesite
Lavas. It first appeared in 2003 and has
various colours (red/reddish pink/ orange-pink). It was found that this is a
colour enhanced Labradorite and not a true Andesine (which are chemically
similar). It is the addition of Copper that enhances the colour of this stone.
It is said to enhance vision questing, scrying and
connecting to the Akashic record to gain perspective on one’s soul purpose.
